The zoo focuses on education and conservation, with many events such as the Wildlife on Wheels program which “…brings a little zoo to you…”. There are summer camps that the kids can enroll in as well as plenty of things for the adults as well. There are always new things happening at the zoo. Most notably was the recent addition of giant pandas to the Memphis Zoo. The zoo also features the highly acclaimed Cat Country, where the conservation aspect of the zoo comes in.
